Chinese Tourist (L) Visa Extension - DO NOT OVERSTAYED!

REMEMBER DO NOT OVERSTAY!! Holding a Chinese Tourist (L) Visa and want to stay longer in China? You can request an extension from the PSB (Public Security Bureau Entry and Exit Administration Office / 公安部出入境管理局) from the city of your stay at least seven days before the expiration of your visa. The applicant can apply for an extension of no longer than 30 days per application . May apply for second or third extension but this depends on the duration of each stay of the original entry visa. Total extensions per entry to China cannot exceed the length of the original permitted stay. However no guarantee that the extension will be granted. The decision will be made by the representative, who will decide according to the situation. Before apply, please contact your nearest PSB for information and requirements. IMPORTANT! - What Should You Do Within 24 Hours of Arrival in China?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Some people may not be aware that you should register yourself at local Police Station within 24 hours of arrival in China. Travel Regulations for Visitors and Tourists Too. All foreigners should register your temporary address at Police Station within 24 hours of your arrival in the country, no matter what type of visa you are holding. You need to re-register when  i. You exit China and enter again ii. You change your residence/accommodation address iii. You extend/change your Visa details in China If you are staying at hotel, hotel staff should register Temporary Residence for Visitors on your behalf. Get a copy of your registration from your hotel in case you needed it while you at China. How to Apply Chinese Visa You should make your application well in advance of the planned travel date. You are advised to apply ONE month in advance but no earlier than THREE months. Here are the documents you shall prepare before submission: Basic Documents a. Passport - Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity (for double/multiple entries, it would be wise to have at least 1 year validity period) and with blank visa page, a photocopy of the passport's data page, observation page and the photo page if it is separate. b.
