You can request an extension from the PSB (Public Security Bureau Entry and Exit Administration Office / 公安部出入境管理局) from the city of your stay at least seven days before the expiration of your visa. The applicant can apply for an extension of no longer than 30 days per application . May apply for second or third extension but this depends on the duration of each stay of the original entry visa. Total extensions per entry to China cannot exceed the length of the original permitted stay. However no guarantee that the extension will be granted. How to Apply Chinese Visa You should make your application well in advance of the planned travel date. You are advised to apply ONE month in advance but no earlier than THREE months.
